Very reliable friend over the years.

I bought this plain Jane, "economy car" when it was a 7-8 month old rental car. I sold my Mercedes E-Class to buy it. It was just a calculated way to save more money for the last two kid's college fund- that panned out very well. I never thought at the time I would still have it 20 years later. It has just been so very dependable! I am a Benz Tech, and it has been religiously serviced like it was a Benz-- and that is the key to longevity, as long as the car starts life out right in the first place. I have always kept Mobil One oil w/Hengst oil filters in it. All other fluids & maintenance items changed regularly as well. Tires & brakes once in a great while. At 19 yrs.old it got it's first alternator & second battery. The shocks/struts & sway bar end links have been replaced once. A whopping 3 recalls in it's lifetime, which as a technician, I find incredible. It is now approaching 199k and still runs/drives like a top. It is not ,nor ever was fancy, but anytime I have to loan it out to family in need, they are grateful for a clean/dependable car to drive till their vehicle is repaired.… - 4.0

car is getting older and more maintenance has been required but for what i paid ($2200) it has been a great car. had a few problems like ignition coils and and a exhaust flex pipe blow out. now its starting to run rough and time to trade in my 20 year old beater. has held up well from rust except for exhaust and muffler. but all in all its a solid car if you take care of it.… - 5.0

I was hesitant to buy this 2007 Cobalt back in 2010, but glad I did. It's great on gas, has get up and go with a 2.2 liter engine. It's very comfortable too. My Cobalt is loaded also. Key is also to take very good care of your vehicle with oil changes and other services.…
